Our beautifully restored stone farmhouse, which sleeps up to ten people in two family rooms and a twin/double, is in the heart of Vilamitjana, a medieval village two hours north-west of Barcelona in Lleida province. Situated in a wide, lush valley and surrounded by a prehistoric landscape, we have an amazing variety of terrain and our own micro-climate. Low rainfall, cool, bright winters and hot, dry summers, though without the searing heat of southern Spain.
The area offers a huge range of activities for all ages and interests, from the adrenaline rush of mountain biking, canyoning and rafting, through wild swimming in mountain lakes and rivers, to hunting for dinosaur footprints and exploring ancient castles.
This is real rural Spain, the area is almost undiscovered by tourists yet to find its snowy peaks, clear mountain lakes, stunning scenery and rich culture, and as such has been chosen as one of the world’s Top 100 Sustainable Destinations by the Good Travel Guide.
